​Membership in TGBA is open to members of Chapter LX and all Special Forces qualified personnel in the Tampa area. 

To be eligible for and maintain membership in good standing, applicants must be qualified as U.S. Army Special Forces, OR be a member in good standing of Chapter LX of the Special Forces Association, AND all members must maintain a permanent residence in the designated service area.
                                (1)  Qualification as U.S. Army Special Forces is considered having successfully completed an Army Special Forces qualification course and/or having been awarded a military occupational specialty of 180A, 18A, 18B, 18C, 18E, 18D, 18W, 18Z, or qualification prefix of 3 (Officers), suffix of 5G (Officers), suffix of S (NCOs) or suffix of Z (SGM).  Proof of qualification is required and will be provided by the applicant authorizing the release of their official military records to TGBA Inc. utilizing the Standard Form 180, Request Pertaining to Military Records.

                                (2)  The designated service area consists of the following counties in the state of Florida:  Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Sumpter, Lake, Polk, Hardee, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota.
If not currently on active duty, applicants must have received an honorable discharge or have retired from military service.  All members must maintain current payment of dues as set and published annually by the TGBA Board of Directors.  Dues will be payable on 31 December for the ensuing calendar year.  Members who fail to pay their dues within the grace period of thirty days following 31 December, are automatically declared 'not in good standing' and forfeit all membership rights.   Such members may be reinstated to good standing upon payment in full of dues for the current year.              


Fees and Expenses
Member Dues.  TGBA does not currently assess annual dues.

Application Fee.  There is currently no application fee.

Membership Application

The application for membership in TGBA consists of the following items:
1.      A completed membership application.*  
2.      A signed Standard Form 180 that authorizes TGBA to verify military service or qualifications.
